ToggleDifference Between Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence
As we have a individual’s blogs of both machine learning and AI but here we will learn about the difference between the, How machine learning is different from AI.
Machine Learning
Machine Learning, first introduced by Arthur Samuel in 1959, is all about using algorithms and data to improve accuracy, much like how people get better at things through practice. Unlike general Artificial Intelligence and computer science, Machine Learning specifically focuses on learning from data to become more precise. Samuel, who worked at IBM and was skilled in AI and computer science, highlighted this unique approach. In simple terms, Machine Learning is a tool used to solve problems and automate various tasks, playing a key role in data science.
Alan Turing, a mathematician, believed that arguing whether machines can think is pointless. Instead, he proposed a game where participants communicate with both a machine and a human through written messages to see if they can tell them apart, thus testing AI.
Today, Machine Learning is a big part of our everyday lives, making things more efficient and easier to manage. It allows computers to make decisions and recognize patterns on their own, without needing specific instructions for each task. Although the concept of machine learning has been around for a while, it has only recently gained widespread popularity. Machine Learning is a branch of artificial intelligence focused on creating algorithms and models that enable computers to learn from data and make decisions.
